Taint is a wingless hybrid of a dragon and a crocodile, and is essentially outcasted by his own kind for being so. Having been abandoned in a sewer treatment facility, Taint mysteriously gained the ability to spit toxic acid, as opposed to the fire breath of his kin. As he grew up, a gang of thieves were the only ones willing to take him in, but they sent him to a local monastery since he was so young, where he received basic schooling. At this monastery he met Terra and Dalton. He and Terra became good friends, and they spent much of their childhood together. However, his rage grew overtime, and soon he returned to his gang, the only semblance of family to him.
