VancouFur 2014 - Gateway to the Pacific

PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE COMMENTING:

The theme this year is multiculturalism, "Gateway to the Pacific." - A celebration of pacific rim countries.

There are many different peoples here in Vancouver and we want to celebrate it and how all of us came to be a part of this melting pot city. This is a celebration of the countries in the pacific rim.

**We are not trying to represent the cultures. We are trying to show the history and current day life that is Vancouver. How all of us came to be here, etc. -This image is to get the point across of a unity here in Vancouver between different peoples.**

This image is to show a togetherness that we strive for and find, here in vancouver. There are many many multicultural families and communities here and we wanted to show this togetherness.

Three cultures are shown here: Japan(Kimono & Bridge), India(Sari *so pretty*), China(Paifeng & Lanterns). (Please correct me if i am wrong. I did a lot of research D: So i totally want to know if i got something wrong!)

If you have concerns with the togetherness posted here or about the convention theme, you will need to bring that up with the con staff once staff has been chosen.

VF2014 is underway and the chairman is taking out all the stops to make sure its done RIGHT. He's even been in contact with our local multicultural society for input and advice.

The chairman and his staff (Staff still yet to be chosen so give us some time) will be happy to address your concerns and questions. (Once the website is up and contacts are available)

SO! This was done up before VF2013 actually, while the next chairman was being chosen. I was asked if i could do a pic for a possible theme idea for the current chairman. So i did! I'm surprised i got this done but i did! In two days, start to finish! :D

Omgawd bushes. Seriously. i learned! :D Going to be doing some more practicing and experimenting on trees and such in the future that's for sure. : )
