Last of the emergency commission portraits. This one is for Zeeoddwyn on DA. Her super cool sorceror character, Johan, who is slowly turning into a crystal but doesn't want anyone to know. Here he is trying not to let anyone know, but kinda failing at it because his eyes and crystals glow when he's charging up for a spell.
I'm pretty pleased with this considering I didn't have a photo ref to use. I really need to practice painting humans more.

Doing this without any kind of reference is off the chain, Tek. You should be super pleased with this.

The problem with drawing human faces without a ref in a realistic style is uncanny valley. It can look really close but something is off you cant put your finger on. You did a great job to escape that trap.
