14 x 21 color pencil
Don't know what to say about this but I hate doing BGs. MEH! Kinda like her though, I didn't totally kill the wings like on my last two winged pieces.
Actually had fun learning wings and should be able to do better next time. Took a while to see what was going on in spots.
The paper is not white. color is close.
Shot with camera with normal meh results.
The movement feels so natural in this piece, very well done!
Curious what colored pencils you prefer?
I started out using Prismacolor (also got Derwent but almost never used them for several reasons, one being that they warped) but I just didn't like how they applied, especially with my heavy handed style. Then I tried Faber-Castell and found them so superior in all respects it was ridiculous. So F-C poltchromos are the only way to go for me and I am now going to try their watercolor pencils. Paper also has a tremendous impact on results. I use Stonehinge, read about it early on and and it is better than anything else I've tried and I just read that it is the most preferred by color pencil artists overall.
The pencils are a bit more expensive but so worth it and I believe they go farther than Prismacolor so the price evens out.
Hope this helps. Yep, I'm opinionated. :)
