I'm conflicted about whether I should comment on what this is inspired by/what this is referencing. I'm not sure how common it is. I know the behaviour occurred in Duke Nukem 3D, maybe Doom too, but I don't remember.

FORESHORTENING IS HARD... SO ARE KNEES... I think I ended up making him look younger, blargh.

      Oh? o: I was thinking that it probably happened in all the 2.5D/DOS FPSes, but I don't think I played many of them so was just making an assumption. So, huh.

        yep! doom was the first game showing the hall of mirrors effect, and most game engines built off of it have it as well, such as the quake engine, goldsrc, and source (the quake engine even has a console command for refreshing the buffer so that it doesn't occur)
