Another 3D model for practicing topology. Only about 27k polygons for this one - still too high though!
Discovered a few neat tricks and such though when I made this, so I was quite pleased with myself.
Total time to model was around 3.5 to 4.5 hours, forget how long it took.
Pure hard surface, I don't try and make 'em low poly or optimize, at least, not yet. I can always just remove edge loops and whatnot.
I hate sub-ds so it's all just pure hard surface in Maya. I want to also improve in Zbrush sometime in the future and use it for detailing ruined buildings and scifi-things.

Another neat one! more nice small details as well. You mention your polycount is high. Are you modelling these with sub-d or is it pure hard surface modelling?
