I am seriously hoping this is a completely new pokemon and not at all a new form of Mewtwo. Though the title of the movie "Mewtwo's Awakening" does cause me worry. e_e
You just don't tamper with mewtwo. You just...you just...DON'T.

Mewtwo wiped Giovanni's memory of his creation and such. The lab was obliterated. And all other attempts were failures to the point that they died.

Perhaps someone else picked up on it then? Considering how crazy obsessed many of the bad guys in pokemon get, they learn about things that no one else knew about. I wouldn't doubt it if there was some loophole, and someone found out about him.
Ether way, ima be pissed if its another form and not another pokemon entirely. XD

I have mixed feelings about it. I am so in love with the theory of Mewtwo being all powerful. He WAS the Arceus before Arceus. If this is indeed a Mewthree, wether it's a new form, or an evolution, or an all new pokemon ( not likely, it's far too similar....) I hope they at least have a REALLY BADASS story behind how it came to be to make up for the fact that Mewtwo is being shelved as the ultimate form of himself. Perhaps if they twisted the story that it's another clone that was never found or something, I might be forgiving.

I was a bit miffed at first for the same reason, but the more I thought on it, I could possibly give it a chance if it has a very good background story behind it. Mewtwo's story was the most mysterious and interesting one so I'd be a bit interested in a good expansion on it.

I have this scenario in my head that I think may be plausible and I hope is right: new "mewtwo" is actually "mewthree" and was created with left over mewtwo DNA sequences, created by don giuvanni in an effort to finally have his perfect, all-powerful pokemon, all since his attempts of controlling mewtwo failed.
And to further my theory: x and y are chromosomes, so. . .~
