So, I thought I would put this in here as well now, since it is definitely going to be a standard feature to my person and any artwork gotten.

Even though Niko, Doni and myself have been denmates for quite a large number of years now I have never really felt the need to make this more visible or 'official' than "we know we are and those around us know we are". However, some meatspace things happened in a real short time and I felt a little bit not myself and felt the need to somewhat re-affirm connections. So I asked if they were alright with such a thing and both agreed it would be a nice gesture and a good idea.

It is somewhat different from a ring or other kind of jewelry and there are a lot of interesting variations possible. I drew up some ideas and did some research on cuts and different styles of gems to convey the right ideas and symbolisms for myself to show what I had in mind and suddenly Niko popped up with this little surprise.

The collar is made of a supple (padded on the inside) double-stitched violet leather with some room to fit wider and more slender necks. Because I like the colour.
The family name is etched on the inside.
The more important features are the gemstones set in the front:

• A magna-cut snowflake obsidian in the center. The naturally black and white flecked stone represents myself. The patterning is obvious naturally.
  - Following left and right of the center are trilliant-cut spessarites. The trilliant form is somewhat of a shield and spessarite is a nice deep orange hued stone. These represent Niko.
  - And finally two laurels crafted out of both moonstone (white) and obsidian (black). The laurels look like the banded tail of the cacomistle and obviously this set represents Doni.

The reason they are set in this manner is by showing them set left and right of the center stone they surround and support it. Much symbolism is had here.

And Niko could not help but add a small extra feature that may be useful at times in different forms taken by the liquidshifter wearing this item.
