The inhabitants of the chocobo settlement are usually rather laid-back and tend to mostly mind their own business. ( As one can see here https://www.furaffinity.net/view/39717144/ )
But sometimes it's neccesary to make sure everyone knows where the border is and how far one can go. Or there's a load of monsters about to move in where they're not wanted. ( Hope you never, ever have to live downwind of a Marlboro seeding ground )

When this happens, a number of the inhabitants come together and gear up to make sure that whatever threat is getting too close to the village is dealt with swiftly. And as you can see, there's no small number of capable tanks, melee and ranged fighters and casters of different types available to assist...
Not to mention that most of them also master various different chocobo-only magic... There may be meteors in the near future.
