Those spare parts for the Blue Dwarf always seem to turn up in the worst places. In this case, the parts were in the service areas of a Waxdroid Planet's "Beast Stalker World," a place where well-heeled guests once hunted an impressive array of fantastic and dangerous synthetic wildlife. Back then, however, the waxdroids had kill switches. Three million years in the future, such niceties are a distant memory.

As Steve was truly alone in the distant future, he needed an AI companion to handle electronic locks and security systems. Unfortunately, the only portable device capable of doing so was a Crapola Industries Talkie Toaster. This also meant that Steve couldn't carry a shotgun with zirconium shells, which didn't seem so bad at the time "There are utilidors, I don't have to worry about encountering anything bigger than me." There were complications.

Why is it always wyverns, anyway?

Steve is now a Baryonyx, which makes him much easier to clothe. I know the perspective and anatomy came out a bit weird, but the picture still gets the point across pretty well.
