Garuda is based off of the Loftwing from the Legend of Zelda franchise and Fire Rodan from the Godzilla films. It seemed an idea that would stand out, I knew a few birds in the fandom this would appeal to, and it fit the whole rainbow motif I had going with the initial seven toy designs (Red Stone, Orange Comet, Yellow Sea, Green Flame, Blue Iron, Indigo Brute, Violet Power). As far as I know, Garuda is the first (publicly) known bird toy that isn't a novelty or an island float. Someone has probably produced an avian inflatable in private.

The test version is probably going to be somewhat outsized (13'2" (4m) as versus 2.7-3.5m). People talked me down from 5m, but that size of monster bird is only going to fit in my apartment facing one direction. 4m fits at an angle and requires less furniture movement while still being impressive in scale.

I'm going to take my chances with the shipping delay for...symbolic reasons. There are some personal ashes I need to rise from.
