Usually I don't post things in a half-finished state, but I forgot to post the original sketch and it seemed like it would be wrong to spring this on everyone unannounced...

Yes, Emil was once part of the ballistic transport set and a real clavie. His family was the very definition of loaded, everything SOTA. Every point on the world, no more than ninety minutes away. Whimsyworld? Tropical resorts? The cuisine and fine wine of the Mantois Republic? Exotic adventures at the polar regions? Hob-nob with the very top of the upper crust? Toys from the autofac at Yamashiroya's flagship store? On a whim. Even a designer counterpressure suit for this part-time alien. Yeah, not a dirtsider if you can believe that. Also kind of a twitch, everyone's a twinkie at some point in their lives.

Then Emil gave it all up to shoot troubles in the seedy underbelly of the sprawl as the leader of a Debug Team. Why did he do that? Also, like dude, he went total chonkers when he switched to living on the edge. It caused siggi static when he had to go back into the big black for the biz, plus he looks like a complete doughboy even in underware. Then again he goes chunking at odd hours, what can you expect? I mean, a razorguy who looks soft like that can't be taken serious, ya grok. Also, he's never jammed, what a total gonk.
