...as long as you're getting paid on time. When the Dark Lord isn't doing too well, smart monsters look for steady employment doing when they're best at. If you can organize enough monsters, not get screwed on negotiations, and not get too badly mauled by being used as shock troops it can be a pretty good life. If not...well, there are always more monsters.
