Emil Leidy - Reference

KronoGarrett

Prank nano ranges from hilarious to terrifying, even if it follows the letter of the law. Emil was a mere Smilodon uplift from a glitterworld before someone thought it would be amusing if the unassuming kitty went from "sabertoothed cheetah" to "tokusatsu creature feature." Much to the relief of everyone besides the prankster, things didn't quite take and Emil steadfastly remained 1.9m tall instead of becoming 19m tall. The things people come up with during a yayo binge...

Emil has understandable issues with this. He's not really at home in a body like this. His Accidental Death & Dismemberment policy does not recover a full-body rebuild if "it still works" and it's not covered by the standard dysmorphia care in his society. The culprit is still at large. At least he can have a vaguely normal life as it stands. They did get a boost package out of the whole affair, though, including bone lacing, a bit of subdermal armor, and muscular enhancement beyond what one would expect in J. Random Nearbaseline. This is probably more out of quantity (the cross section on those thighs!) than quality.

I haven't really decided what Emil does for a living. He's a Glitterworlder and could probably coast by on basic and be a virch junkie, but that's sort of boring. They'd probably have to be enough of a person to warrant being targeted by an elaborate prank, maybe they're a test engineer and their manager was trying to commit overly elaborate insurance fraud? Okay, that sounds stupid. I'll come up with something better. They are known to possess an EVA license, and there is a suit fitted for them.

This would certainly make for an extreme suit project. Obviously, they'd have to be made beanbag-style for better movement and flexibility, and I'd have to be able to enter through the front of the suit so I wouldn't need an assistant. After the ordeal that was Zinogre, I'll have to find a builder who can capture the right look...

"Did the blue color happen because of the nano?" "No, the Maltese color is natural."
