That's the sound of 8 boxes of stun damage from dying in a "cold sim" VR game. Ori can take about eleven before he goes off to dreamland, he's pretty sturdy. This is the last time he pulls software cards at random, he's going to be really careful about anything containing sergals for a long time. (Trey gets a pass if I can nudge him into redesign. Heck, I'm willing to do said redesign.)

Ori has a lot of old, obscure operating system shirts. I bet he has ones for GEOS and Atari ST as well. For all we know, maybe Macroware and Newtonsoft didn't completely dominate the industry like their real-world counterparts. Of course this doesn't matter anymore thanks to the sheer overwhelming nature of glitterworld megacorps and their advanced products that are available at your local affiliated autofac, but everyone's a little nostalgic for the Eighties and Nineties.
