So this is what my partner http://blueike.deviantart.com/ and I talked about the past couple of days. I can easily set up the code and such so that there are three possible resolution settings in the options menu: Lo, Med and Hi. Players would be able to switch between them at any time. This is a sample of how they'd look. What do you think, and which would you play on?

    What's the algorithm you used here, if any? Are these procedurally rendered resolutions or are they hand-rendered?

      Drawn by hand. To use the different sheets, it's just a matter of importing the right one based on the resolution setting (0, 1 or 2). Filenames would be like KohSheet0.png, KohSheet1.png, KohSheet2.png, and the game pulls in the right ones.

    I'd use high most of the time. I seriously hope you're using some sort of code to transfer between each resolution or brother you're in for an absolutely HUGE amount of work D:

      Yes, it's just an import job lol. The code itself is trivial compared to how long it takes to make all the graphics.

        That scares me just to think about XD I get tired making just one set of sprites, let alone three of every character that exists -cries internally-
