KaoKao Optional Traits

TabithaKattoa

Finally, the current list of mutations/deformities in a visual guide.
🚧 YOU MAY ADD UP TO 4 OF THESE IN STANDARD CREATION! You will need to purchase or buy the right for unlimited extra traits if you are not on the list or I have not given you explicit permission for unlimited traits.

Some info about each

🌸Bioluminescence
This trait usually shows in selective areas on the body such as the eyes, jewels, flesh, claws, or spike like appendages in the horn/spike trait. It is possible, however, for a Kao to sport bioluminescent markings or spots on their body as well!

🌸Tendrils
Tendrils are a strange growth sprouting from anywhere on the body. These appendages are highly flexible and depending on the thickness, may even be prehensile. They can vary a bit in shape, size, and length.

🌸Dual Pupil
Pretty self explanatory. Gives the Kao a different pupil type in each eye.

🌸Forked Tongue
This trait can split a Kaos tongue enough to create 5 separate ends.

🌸Frog Tongue
Causes the Kao to have a highly elastic and even somewhat sticky tongue. The length and degree of adhesive quality varies per individual.

🌸Wing Ears
This is a very strange trait that nobody really understands where it came from. The ears have grown to resemble feathered or webbed wings. These wings are non-functional for flight, but are able to be moved around and manipulated like your typical wing.

🌸Lop Ears
A pretty normal deformity that occurs due to a lack of cartilage in the ears.

🌸Horns/Spikes
A Kao may grow horns or spikes anywhere on its body. They can both be subdermal (below the skin) or transdermal (poking through the skin.)

🌸Webbed Digits
Similar to the manta wings, this is another trait that aids with swimming. Webs can be both on the hands and feet simultaneously or on one or the other.

🌸Fins
Another aquatic adaptation. Fins can grow from any part of the body but most commonly follow a pattern similar to fish or aquatic mammals.

🌸Plates
These hard, scale-like growths can form anywhere on the body and act as armor for that region. Tough to damage but capable of being cracked or completely removed.

🌸Spines/Barbs
Spines and barbs are a thinner variant related to the horns and spikes trait. These, however, can be stationary OR mobile, capable of being flattened against the body or lifted and stiffened to protrude more menacingly. This trait can sport optional webbing as well!

🌸Wyvern Wings
The more successful wing related adaptation. Kaos with this trait are capable of flight unlike their wing eared cousins! Wings can be both feathered or webbed style similar to the ear mutation.

🌸Manta Ray Wings
This trait is unique to more aquatic dwelling Kaos. The manta ray wings trait resembles the wyvern wings, but these wings are highly flexible and aid in better swimming!

🌸Sponge Growths
A trait that usually replaces the "fur bib", cheek fluff, or shows up on the tail but can appear virtually anywhere on the body. This spongy mass is capable of absorbing large amounts of liquid and expelling it at high pressure.

🌸Forked/Multi-tail
It does exactly what it says: gives a Kao extra tails or splits their single tail towards the end.
