SWEET BABY PUPPIES I WANT IT!

hehehe when I made that one you are free to quote me another one haha but I guess you are a great experienced sewer yourself! I would say go for it! ♥ Makes me very happy a fellow crafter likes my work ^_^

Yeah I need to give it another go. I made me a hoodie a couple years ago but I was allergic to the material so I can't wear it, and I've been a bit bitter about making wearables ever since. I need to get over it XD

Anyway, I look forward to seeing more from you!!

Ahh thats toobad! I have allergies myself too, so when I wear kigu myself or go to furry convention I take these allergies pills. Never tried to put on a furry head tough :O While sewing these kigus, my allergy reacts, its a pain in the ass but its doable :P I am only afraid for this summer, the pollen and sewing combined would be to much for me :P so I guess more of those pills. Anyways I wish you luck and you should totally give it a try again! I am looking forward to you work too ^_^ always inspires me to see other ppls work ♥

Eh, I wish that would work for me, mine is because I have psoriasis so almost everything makes be break out. I found out I do okay with minky-fleece, so I'm going to try that if I make a wearable again!

I love seeing other crafter's work too! It's very inspiring!

ahh :( I recently found out about these pills so I am happy I can deal better with fabrics, dust and pollen more now! I am sorry they wont work foryou :( I make mu kigus from anti-pill fleece, they have hard effect on you?

                  • Link

Yep, it's actually the anti-pull that I'm really allergic to, and regular fleece to a smaller degree. Whatever they do to make it anti-pull just doesn't agree with me XD

You should look into trying minky-fleece, it's about the same price or cheaper then fleece online and it's very very comfy, soft, and warm, not to mention my crappy skin doesn't have a reaction to it, so maybe you wouldn't either. If you buy from fabric.com it's called double sided minky, some other places call it that too. Here's an example: https://www.fabric.com/buy/db-333/double-sided-minky-fleece-chocolate

I should add that my "same price or cheaper" comment doesn't seem to be relevant anymore as the minky fleece has increased in price and the expensive fleece that I normally buy has decreased in price, but it's still worth giving a go :)

I actually tried minky cuddle from fabrics.com, making a plush for a friend. The problem here is tough, I live in the netherlands and shipping to here is very expensive and they also include taxes. So yeah thats kinda a pain in the ass and not that cheap anymore O_O I will need to make a big order to make it worth! Thanks for the tip tough :D! Whats the difference between double sided and cuddle minky?

                        • Link

Cuddle minky is essentially a very very short pile fur fabric, so one side is the fur and the other has a regular backing and it doesn't stretch at all. Double sided minky, aka minky-fleece, is pretty much a soft kinda furry fleece. Think bathrobe, but softer. One side has a kinda fur pile, and the other is a bit like a towel, but much softer. It's just like working with fleece, but it has a fur pile.

I guess I'm spoiled here in America, I get free shipping from fabric.com on orders over $35, so I'm always bulk ordering from them. I could always offer to have orders shipped to me and then ship them to you, though I'm not sure how much cheaper that would be. I'm sorry fabric is harder to come by there. I dunno what kind of fabric stores you have around, but Joanne's carries minky-fleece as well, and sometimes walmart will.

Ahhh okay thanks for explaining ^___^

Your lucky indeed! We dont have those stores here either :P lolol

idk how much shipping would be from your place to mine, I only know if I wanna send a kigu to outside europe it costs me 34 euro :P Thanks for the offer, rlly nice of you! But I guess I will sometime this year make a big order!

ohman thats not good :O im sorry that happens to you :( I dont get a skin reaction tough. Anti pills works just find fome and I can buy it in my own country ^_^ I wish they would provide more different kind of fabrics here like other kind of fleece and minky!
