Chapter 22: Artemis Falls

Vaxtus chased Artemis throughout Atmo City, shooting at him and explaining what his plan was wrong.

"You can't destroy Atmo City."
"It's the only way to get revenge on my colleagues."
"That isn't revenge, at least no how I see it."
"Well, there would be no one to oppose me."
"This city, the most advanced Jetroid facility on Velbus would be gone."
"I will increase the strength of my lab and make it just as prosperous as this city."
"A facility equal to Atmo City would take years to build."
"Yeah, and you and your minions will help me do it."
"I will never help you again!"

After a long conversation and shooting, a few of Vaxtus' bullets got Artemis and shot him down. He fell down and landed on the city.

"You will regret that!" Artemis yelled.

"Whatever, I'm not helping someone as twisted as you again." Vaxtus said, using his homing missiles to destroy him.

That was when Aero, Astro, and Sakura showed up.

"How are you back?" Aero said

"That tyrant revived me, but he used me for personal gain and a crazy plan for revenge."

"So you destroyed him?"

"Yes, consider me the lesser of two evils this time. Next time we meet, I won't be as friendly."

"But..."

"Another day, Aero, another day." Vaxtus then flew off.

Back at ACIPD, our heroes sat, pondering what to do. Maisy sat there as well, giving them encouragement.

Astro, seeing an opportunity, spoke up. "Aero, there's something I wanted to tell you since I first came here and helped you."

"Ok." Aero said. "What is it?"

"Well, it's about my creator. You and I were made by the same jetroid."

"Archibald? But Archibald is dead. He got destroyed more than 200 years ago. All I have of him is a charred piece of wing."

"No, Aero." Astro said. "Archibald is alive."
