I told myself to keep it simple only to go very tricky a pose that needed a lot of tinkering to make it work. Luckily the references were great since it was a bunch of cats in boxes. (People need to get better at sourcing images, I would've loved to link the originals)
I wouldn't be surprised if the ambitious one that was considered didn't take as long.-

I remember ages ago, someone I followed on FA did icons like this, but the characters were in bottles. I always found it amazing to see people do such unique designs like this—my brain can’t even begin to wrap itself around trying this, references or not! XD
