These demons feed on emotions to survive. While commonly thought to be done through unsightly means, it's actually done through any kind of contact. Through hunting, they've become more rare, but are still thought to have a healthy population.
Purebreds are agender, capable of adjusting to the person they made a pact to. These pacts commonly require cooperation with both sides. Whoever made a pact is usually treated like a family member. It's recommended to not anger any of this race, their magic capabilities are linked to their emotions. Harming loved ones with ill intent can and likely will cause an inferno.
Hybrids commonly have different traits depending on the appearance of the parent. Because of this, there's a difference between succubi and incubi. For example, a male hybrid whose part succubi will have more feminine traits and vice versa. They're less dependent on feeding and have a more muscular tail, but the difference in weight can make flight difficult. Hybrids are victim to severe hunting, a common act is to chop off their wings and/or saw off their horns. This has mostly stopped, but some locations still do this.
Both purebreds and hybrids are susceptible to Cordolium, an illness that is caused by restrained by emotions. For more information, please refer to the section going into the demon classification.
