Anyway, Quinn & Ripley are friends from way back. They used to be elementary school pen-pals when Quinn was in Brooklyn and Ripley was in Detroit. The exponential increase of technology-use helped them keep in touch over the years as their friendship carried over into social media outlets. Throughout the years, they remained nothing more than internet buddies. Eventually, Ripley moved to Quinn's city which is how they were able to finally connect in-person. :'D
