Finally done! This pic was made with an experimental technique. I had my struggles with it but learned a lot!

I'm now experimenting with a technique that leaves a visible lineart and uses a separate Ambient Occlusion layer over flat colors as a base. There is still lot of room for refinement but finally I see where am I going with this.
