So this is one of the first pictures of Stoker ever drawn. By me. When I was in high school.
I was forced to post this because 's stream hit a certain incentive. The jerk.

Thank you <3 There comes a time in all of our lives to cut ties with people
This unfortunately has just happened to me at least three times already

on June 6, 2014 at 00:17:27 UTC
Man I actually looked way nerdier than this in high school IRL. If anything I toned the nerdiness down considerably.
on June 5, 2014 at 05:22:26 UTC
Awwww, so cute! You should draw more of him.

Much respect to you for posting old, embarrassing artwork! But truly, everybody has to start somewhere. Hey, maybe we'll see this image again someday in a "Draw it again" meme if you care to post it ;D
on June 18, 2014 at 17:59:49 UTC
I need to be drawing more period, to be honest! I get so frustrated so quickly with how slowly my art skills progress that I really haven't gotten much further than this level in the last decade. :/
on June 24, 2014 at 07:42:30 UTC
You're slow? I've been drawing for 30 years and I'm still no better than fair-to-mediocre! But I'd say you're like everybody else: you just need to practice, n'est ce pas? Like, set aside a little time every week to just sit down and DRAW SOMETHING :D
on June 24, 2014 at 08:25:15 UTC
I suppose that's true! Practice is what it all boils down to in the end, isn't it?
on June 27, 2014 at 05:43:49 UTC
Mostly! I believe the magic formula is 10% inspiration, 90% perspiration ;)

Stoker must do more arts! MOAR ARTS!
on January 3, 2015 at 06:34:58 UTC
I do believe we have never met before. However I want to say keep on drawing and practice more (overused advice I know). My old early high school drawings used to be like this, However I got so much better due to drawing a lot and also drawing from life around me much as possible. Also, try and understand what's under the surface drawing. It's not all about what it look like, but how it works from inside out of the 3-D forms. I have been practicing drawing bat wings couple times and now getting better at it.
on January 4, 2015 at 07:58:18 UTC
Good advice, all! I really need to get back to practicing and drawing from life. That really IS the only way to improve.
