I've been wanting to start doing a comic for decades now (yes, I'm old). For one reason or another I kept putting it off. largely due to running 2 (and at one time 3) odd jobs and just not having the time to put into writing, inking, lettering, and learning how to do a comic.

When I finally stopped feeling guilty and sorry for myself and started a Patreon, the response was far more than I could have hoped for. It also allowed me to drop the constant search for extra part-time work and dedicate far more time to doing artwork than I did previously.

The result was being able to sit and learn, and re-learn a great deal in the past several months. I still do outside work and commission work, but I can now start doing some of the projects that I've had my eye on for years. Tides was one of those.

The comic itself is in the fantasy genre, set initially on a chain of islands known collectively as 'Qiuloa' on the world of Felwroth. It will - if all goes well, span a large swathe of the world including some 'outer planes' by it's conclusion. And host a fairly sizable array of creatures of the world.

I'll start to post pages here as I'm able. Folks who have kindly donated to Patreon will be getting the first look at pages as they are finished, and will have high res copies of paintings done of characters, but all of the novel will end up here as well!
