Q- What is needle felting?

A- A process by which barbed needles are used to knot wool fibers together. There is no glue or sewing used to combine the shapes. They are held together by thousands of interlocking fibers. The process is similar to teasing or dreading hair. The result is a solid object that requires no sewing or stuffing to be 3D.

Q-Why is this felt so pricy?

A-All of my creations are sculptural, in that I mean I do not use flat felt from the craft store and cut and layer it. My objects start as loose wool that I hand felted into shape. They are thicker and more durable than commercial felt objects. This process is time consuming and labor intensive, but creates a unique and quality end product.
