The panda’s mind just couldn’t focus today. His coffee didn’t do anything, the heavy breakfast weighing down his mind back to the sludgy depths of near-sleep. Only the attention he focused on the paper kept him from nestling his face into his pillow, sleeping in and missing the rest of his day.

That, and the comfortable weight resting on his toes. A spark of amusement tweaked a grin in the corner of his lips as he delicately shifted those thick digits, the little passenger giggling back at him. He took one deep breath, turning back to his paper with a little more perk in his morning.
