Yeah, I went there!

So I did actually draw some of the main My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic characters in 2011 but those mimicked the show's style. This time I wanted to make an attempt to try and draw some of the characters in somewhat of my own way. Although I did try to remain sorta close to the style of the show.

Anyway, I haven't been feeling all that well today so I wasn't going to work on anything big, and this sketch took all of maybe 45min-1hour and it was relatively easy to work with being rather low on details compared to most of my other work.

So here we have handsome Shining Armor! Captain of the Royal Guard, Twilight's BBBFF and the husband to Princes Mi Amore Cadenza, AKA Princess Cadence.

He along with Princess Cadence are probably my two favorite characters, well...as well as Apple Jack, Fluttershy and Big Macintosh. I figured Cadence and Shining Armor would be great relaxing test subjects on drawing MLP:FiM characters a little more my way.

Wanted to do this too because I'd love to offer MLP Commissions down the road, and I'd rather have an accurate portrayal of how I plan on drawing them from here on out. Mimicking the show was a fun little experiment but it's more fun to draw this way!

Also...drawing his armor there was AWESOME! I have no idea why, but I enjoy drawing stuff like that lol.
