When Cammie applied for a 'waste disposal' position at a popular fast food chain, she assumed it'd be some sort of janitorial role.
It wasn't.
Turns out the days of restaurants throwing surplus food in a dumpster out the back came to an end when someone suggested they might possibly maybe perhaps get sued if some bin-rummaging freegan ate it and got sick. Instead, every outlet now hires an extra employee to sit in the storage room and serve as a food waste receptacle. At minimum wage, it's cheaper than shipping it all to landfill anyway.
Point is, she should've probably done a bit more research before signing a year-long contract.
