Over the holidays I sent out a Tweet calling for references to select random characters to draw while I was out of town. A huge gift I received this year was a traveling tablet and a short vacation was the perfect opportunity to break it in and share some holiday cheer.

This particular character really caught my eye because the ear design reminded me of a manta ray and I love aquatic critters! Doodlin' his cute lil self was a good test run for clean line work and exploring new brushes for shading & highlights. :)
