Another Celestial sketch. This one commissioned by Xesta, but as a gift for a friend :)
The prompt was the DMAB and DFAB forms of the same character, Nova, illustrated with the theme of "gemini." I like what I came up with!

So much perfection there. Two sides of the same coin!

I agree with Xetsa: It came out so beautifully! Thank you so much for doing this for me, and thank you Xetsa for getting it for me ♥ I really REALLY love it and it fits perfectly to my character and to myself (being a Gemini XD) ♥

Love this (but I'm super biased <3), you did a fantastic job drawing Nova! :D I'd love to get one of Tey and Nova together sometime!

What does DMAB and DFAB mean?
on 13 April 2015 at 11:04:42 MDT
It means Designated Male/Female At Birth! I use it in place of terms like "male" or "female" when talking about bodies or body parts, which leaves room for trans and non-binary people.
For example, I'm trans and my gender is male, so my body is male, but I was designated female at birth. DFAB lets me describe my body without having to use terms like "female-bodied," which wouldn't be appropriate.
I hope that clears it up!

Oh, okay! Thanks for clearing that up! Acronym Finder has this at the BOTTOM of their search results. :P
