more faffing about in LMMS.
thanks! I tend to poke around the virtual synthesizers and instruments and such to experiment. this morphing synth is quite the hoot.
Oh yes, definitely onto something here. There's a little of "Dreams of Dying Stars" wanting to ooze out of this with a bit more background ambiance under it.
You can find it here if you have not already: http://nulll-void.com/nulll/releases/026.htm
wow this is really eerie and disturbing. I doubt it was the music /alone/ because I was messaging a friend that I haven't seen for a while and I miss them and hope they are okay, but the combination nearly caused tears. Not a bad thing, its art.
Oh man, sorry to hear that! On both counts, I hope they're ok too. And that's something I didn't know about synesthesia! Thank you??
Asmr I think is normally reported (or might be defined as) being pleasant. I certainly get it off certain sounds and videos. Not everyone feels it.
Watching this has done it (largely visual, but I think the ambient noise/sounds help): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WisSZk6Orx0&list=LLs1Jt_udgfYUPwECxVV9jLA&index=81
An listening to this does it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xDiZJWhZZmU&list=LLs1Jt_udgfYUPwECxVV9jLA&index=80
But I get some kind of tactile feeling off other sounds that are not necessarily pleasant, but are interesting. It's feeling sound, or like, the sound is spacial.
Part of One song, when the speakers are set a certain way around me, makes me feel like I am in a room in my mind while also in reality. Hard to describe. I have been listening to that forever in headphones and only recently discovered there is a positioning of the speakers around me that can cause that wicked weird effect.

This is going on my headphones when I get home so I can get a clearer experience, but I really like the expanding bell-like or organ-like chamber tones.
