I've never written a critique before on a piece of art but I am very keen to give it a go!

I'll start of with the positives.
Firstly, as a whole the image presents itself very well, nothing looks like it's been awkwardly placed plus it all fits quite harmoniously and naturally. The colors in the image blend well, and are very pleasing to the eye. I particularly love how you've drawn the cat! The anatomy seems fine to me and no limbs look odd and out of proportion. You can the see confusion and emotion in the face of the cat - though since it's a cartoon (/ similar style) don't be afraid to exaggerate some facial expressions and features.

Where you can improve this, the water seems a little off to me, to give it a greater sense of depth include some rocks in the bottom - since streams are typically clear. You can also include the reflection of leaves and shrubbery to help bring more life to the water. Also, with the reflection, it needs to ripple and blur a little with the water rather than be solid - it helps it look more natural and flow-y.

With some parts of the image, you don't always get the sense that light is hitting it from a certain angle, so the trunk facing the water would be much darker, while the edge would be lighter (same applies for the bushes). The cat's fur doesn't completely show the pretty dappled forest lighting effect you have used either, so make the cat's fur that isn't touched by the light a little darker to!

I hope I did okay with this! This peace is really pretty and I absolutely love it! :)
