A piece I did around February of last year, a month or so after I'd started getting into ancestry and found out I had an ancestor that fought in the civil war (I'd only thought I had one at the time, turns out I have, like, over 15, including one that fought for the union). The flag and his hat are for the 28th NC Infantry, which was the infantry my first discovered ancestor was in. I've found many more since then, mostly in the 37th NC Infantry, but with some in other NC infantries and VA as well. I didn't really think much when I drew it to be Nico vs, say, one of his ancestors, but I'm still really happy with this piece.

I'm not going to be posting to weasyl anymore after this, but I chose this piece to upload because I think it's a good representation of the direction my art has taken. In the past year or so, i've become much more interested in portraits and storytelling, as well as characters history. I still draw NSFW from time to time, but it's not Almost Every Single Piece like my art used to be.
