Finalized the Archwing ref. Arch's are the ancestor of Swifthorn and a few other species. There are not many full bloodied Arch's left.

This is the Archwing ref.

Archs have two forms; bestial and mediator. The bestial form is pictured here; the mediator form has a much more humanoid looking face and the fins along the back of the neck form into hair like particles but are still tendril like to the touch.

Archs are the original native race on their planet of Laynair before it became a hub planet hosting a variety of sapient beings. Archs; humans and Centien were the first three ruling races.

Environment: Archs originally lived in sprawling cities and not many ever chose to stay in natural settings. The cities were built all over; in deserts on mountains and alongside the ocean.
Type: Bipedal
Life span: Life span varies greatly as their civilization developed life extension methods that could keep them going well into and past the thousands.
Markings: Standard markings are pretty plain; darkened hands and feet and painted looking splotches along the face and neck. The wings stand out with shimmering oil slick looking coloration and bright ‘archs’ of hard hollow cartilage along the tops of the wings. However more vibrant patterns can be found. Vein like shimmering markings are uncommon but not impossible.
Diet: Diet depends on the individual as some have sworn to restrict meat from land creatures from their diet and stick to aquatic fish like creatures. Some don’t eat any wildlife and stick to fruits and other plant matter and some are strict carnivores. It all depends on personal beliefs. The eating of meat is a very controversial topic for them and it isn’t often brought up in conversation.
Culture/Government: They were the most well developed species in Laynair in their time. Nearly all of them had some sort of background in science. In Laynair there is a religion that is so wide spread it is followed by nearly every species called Izainu which translates to 'eye’ or 'sight’. The Archs also followed this religion very closely and their leaders also doubled as Izainu teachers and did work along the lines of priests.
Personality: They look pretty frightening at times but they were mostly a peaceful race. The leader 'Rakador’ was in fact so peaceful that he was responsible for the start of the downfall of their empire. Dakacyn; Rakador’s advisor, however, was the opposite and had a tyrannical outlook on things. So it all depends on the individual.
Anatomical Details

Height: 10 ft +
Sexual Dimorphism: Males and Females look very similar. Female Archs have openings on their chest just like female Swifthorn. There are no other differences.
Features: Archs have huge impressive looking wings with hard arch like plating all along the tops of them. Their wings have a thumb and two fingers that are very fin like but they can be used to manipulate objects like hands. Their legs are powerful and long with two hoof like toes in the front; one in the back and one long hooked dew claw that stays folded up.
Their faces are long and pointed in bestial mode and their teeth are always showing. Their ears are long pointed and stiff with fleshy protrusions along the top. Long fleshy fins form along their neck and back of their heads. The position and shape of these vary greatly by individual. They have four fingers and one thumb all ending in a hard point.
