Pteranodon is not a 'pterodactyl' pterodactyls aren't a thing (Pterodactylus IS though). They are, however, pterosaurs. Pterosaurs aren't dinosaurs either.

Yes, pterosaurs are fuzzy. They've been known to have a pycnofibre coat since the 80s or longer. The land before time's pterosaurs even depicted them with fuzz.. it's not a new thing.
