One of my favorite early theropod critters. :D A close relative of Coelophysis! In fact the remains were found in the same spot as the huge reservoir of Coelophysis fossils--Ghost Ranch.

Though they were probably spread throughout the southern parts of the American continent. Maybe as far south as Columbia and Venezuela, as the continental plates were jammed closer together at that time, the likelihood of land bridges and transitory islands was high. ^^

No idea why it has such a monstery name... well, a lot of dinos get unfairly "monstery names", since people think them more Godzilla and kaiju than ordinary animals. Le sigh.
