Helicoprion in Graphite (critique requested)

SpiderMilkshake

Another crack at the Helicoprion. :D This time as a graphite drawing. I think this is a more accurate restoration, since I based the shape more on primitive six-gilled sharks with hints of chimera fish and salmon sharks. ^^ Still left the function of that crazy tooth whorl up to speculation... Though my theories are all feeding-related... either as a way to catch some kind of bottom feeder from out of crevices or sand hiding spots, or to snarl up some very goopy floaty water critters... jellyfish, maybe? Prehistoric cephalopods? We may never know.

Getting to the more recent art now. ^^
