Finally finished the color layers atop this sketch--I often like to use graphite underlayers in order to get more realistic, muted color tones. In fact I typically use this, unless for characters with extremely vibrant colors that cannot be sullied with graphite powders. :meow:

I'm probably going to list this drawing for sale along with the character design once I finish de-curling the paper it's on (lots of wax-based media tends to do that--won't be properly frame-able until it flattens out).

Materials: graphite pencils, graphite powder, Daler-Rowney hard-tip color pencils, Prismacolor soft-core pencils, Blending stubs, 65 lb sketch paper, cotton bristol backing.
