RA - Russian Airlines
Because I really wanted to bring this sexy thing back, 'cause you can't go wrong with the classic black suit. :3
After the fall of the Soviet Union, Mishya had very little opportunity left with his prior military training and chose to retire from the armed forces. He attended flight school for a few years and trained with his sister Larissa, who was a veteran in aviation. The two were recruited by the [new] Aeroflot company at Sheremytevo Airport in Moscow. The two became a virtual dream team in the industry, eventually gaining senior positions. Mishya has never flown a [commercial] jet before, but he was gladly assisted by his loving sister in any questions he might have. Larissa became a flight attendant as a contrast to her usual piloting career.
His first flight was from Sheremytevo Airport to Irtusk International in Siberia. It was a successful flight and took control of domestic flights heading to and from Eastern and Western Russia. This gave him a better perspective of his homeland and how expansive it is, and loved seeing people from all walks of life gathered onto his flights. Within ten years or so, he began flying international, taking on the newly unveiled Sukhoi Superjet 100 to the Aeroflot family as the airline soon became popular. Since then, he has traveled the world more frequently than he did with the military and found his niche for the first half of the 21st century. His past was behind him now and looked back on old nostalgia, but was so glad he didn't have to risk his life as much. Of course he had to fight the occasional terrorist, but it's a breath of fresh air as compared to warfare.
I had a lot of fun recreating this uniform, since I favor its elegance and simplicity over all in terms of overall appearance. And I love how Mishya looks in black, judging only from this one picture. And what is a classy uniform without a nice little pose to show it off? In his hand, he holds a brass globe with a little plane flying around it to symbolize the power of flight and unity of the world as the whole. Making reference to this older picture of him in uniform, the former Soviet flag underneath him is replaced with the tricolor flag of Russia. Thanks to my new gold marker, I was able to nail the gold accents on his suit. If I were to give this uniform a nickname, I would call it "The Modern Atlas."
Referenced off of the guy in the middle's uniform.
Take a look at my favorites and you will see that I have quite a few pictures of him done by others dressed like this.
And if I must say so myself, I drew Mishya's paws so lovely in this pic... they're so cute. x3
