I've spent a little more time on this one, correcting the mistakes made on the last one. Edits include Karen's hair, Mishya's glove, fur detail, flag colors, and a [slightly] different appearance. The original description has been reposted. Since there is no scraps section on Weasyl, I included the link to my FA scrap.

Here, but now they're gone
Romeo and Juliet
Are together in eternity... (Romeo and Juliet)
40,000 men and women everyday... (Like Romeo and Juliet)
40,000 men and women everyday... (Redefine happiness)
Another 40,000 coming everyday... (We can be like they are)

Come on baby... don't fear the reaper
Baby, take my hand... don't fear the reaper
We'll be able to fly... don't fear the reaper
Baby, I'm your man...

Love of two is one
Here, but now they're gone
He came last night out of sadness
And it was clear she couldn't go on
The the door was open and the wind appeared
The candles blew then disappeared
The curtains flew then he appeared... saying don't be afraid
Come on baby... and she had no fear
And she ran with him... and they started to fly
They looked back and she said goodbye... (She had become like they are)
She had taken his hand... (She had become like they are)

Come on baby... don't fear the reaper

Blue Oyster Cult - Don't Fear the Reaper - 1976

The year is 1989. A wave of change has struck the lands behind the Iron Curtain. Westernization sneaks in slowly, but steadily. The citizens of East and West Berlin were beginning to reunite with each other. It is a time of reawakening. Across thousands of miles was a similar story. In the vast Soviet landscape, the common culture is forever transformed by modern Western influence. Many citizens take advantage of the sharp change in the arts, music, and popular Western brands, adopting them into their own lives. But for two star-crossed lovers, the splendor of an era doesn't have to end there. Living behind the Iron Curtain symbolized their favor for the simpler life, one without the busybody lifestyle of the typical Westerner. Communism wasn't such a bad thing after all for them, and it was an age of difference against a world that wanted to wage war against the rest. Now they share this one last kiss, as a testament to their bound together not only as lovers, but a farewell to the era of which they've known and loved for so long. This was the shock heard around the world of the dawn of the 21st century. What shall the future bring for Russia and her [former] satellite states?

I CAN'T BELIEVE I FUCKING DREW THIS LIKE I'M CRYING LIKE A MOTHERFUCKER RIGHT NOW HOLY SHIT

A beautifully symbolic drawing of Mishya and Karen sharing a wonderful kiss in the likeness of the old Cold War era. This is absolutely beautiful to me, as I wanted to emphasize more on their relationship throughout that era, which they first became lovers. Upon finishing this, I wanted to cry. Sure, it might've taken a couple of days to finish, (as I started this in one of my classes) yet the result is pleasing to the eye and really heartfelt. If I weren't in class at the time, I would have let the tears run down my face like a waterfall. The feeling was just too powerful for me to handle. Because I had this concept envisioned for the longest time now, (making numerous failed sketches of how I would interpret this) yet finally had the patience to do so, and the right style for the subject matter.

Господи, Помоги мне выжить среди этой смертной любви - Lord, please save us from our undying love

This one has a bit of a twist to it, as I had [some] colored pencils on hand. I used it to color in the banners of the RSFSR and Chechnya. They are symbolic of the original homelands of the two.

And doesn't this look a bit... familiar in any way?
