I actually had the idea for this guy before I made Nyala, but I had to make Nyala before I could make him.

As for his age, it's mentioned that though Krogan can live up to and over 1000 years, they mature extremely quickly. The longer you're a baby on Tuchanka, the more likely you are to be a dead baby. So I'm picturing him around teenaged.
