Oort & Clove sketch compilation

Sparkyopteryx

The partner says I should go ahead and upload these things to my galleries so here you go. I figure there might be at least some followers that will like some sketches of our dumb Guild Wars 2 mains (other than myself haha).

Top page are a bunch of Cloves (punny), my fiance's character. I would have finished this earlier but at some point the original sketch page I was practicing on I lost, but it all turned out for the best because by then she's gotten some updates to her look (both of them have in fact) and she looks so much better than the older page. Not that it's hard to make her look any prettier than she already is. Bottom page is all Oort, my angry little monster. Those bottom two expressions positively slay me and somehow I inadvertently made him ambidextrous (since in the pen sketch he's wielding his hammer with his left hand being dominant).

I found picking at these between commissions and trades to be very relaxing and great for warmups, so I suppose these could also be considered my first Sketchercises for 2015.

Oort has some of the best expressions, why is he so fraggin' hilarious?

I don't know. He's addicting to draw; something about his face just lends itself perfectly to multiple situations.

He kind of shares that quality with Stitch, don't you think?

I think Stitch would be one of those few Disney characters I'd consider doing fanart of too, haha.

Having seen that mugshot thread pic of the two of you, I can't help seeing some resemblance in your characters here. Genderswap notwithstanding.

Aha, that's very perceptive of you to notice such! It's very much like that actually; even the gender swap is a very close projection, since I'm very masculine in most of my mannerisms and how I am and he's decidedly more feminine than me, hah.

What Sparky said, basically. Perceptive of you indeed, and it's a very accurate projection.

I love the thoughtful expression on the bottom left.

You'd be surprised how close of an expression that is compared to when I make it in real life, haha.
