~Trade~ Blue Rococo

Sparkyopteryx

A trade piece done for the most awesome sixrabbits. She requested bunnies and suggested a carousel theme initially, which I jumped at the opportunity to do (fun fact: I used to do carousel animals all the time when I was younger). After picking the Blanc de Hotot as the featured breed, it occurred to me that it would be especially appropriate to make the overall theme very French Rococo-inspired. I've never done anything themed towards that particular art movement but it was much fun; lots of ruffles and shell-like forms. I can't get enough of working with blue...

For those that haven't been keeping tabs with my Collections, this stunning piece of my nightmare Shencoteph is what she did for her half.

Done with Copic and Staedtler pigment liners with Copic Ciao and Sketch markers on smooth bristol, 9x12.

I didn't get to see this one in development much, it actually came out quite pretty. Well done!

Besides being a fabulous piece, this somehow helped me bring together something I'm working one.

I absolutely love all the little details in the inking, especially with the eye and the fur around the head.
    Lovely work, this!
