A sketch I did of 's Astral dragon Xeonixxis catching himself a quick second breakfast, specifically a mermaid fish; woefully small to the titanic Xeon but considering the catch in his mouth could swallow a grown human whole, it's more a matter of perspective. Despite his size he does not eat much and never forages in the same place for extended periods, preferring to have as little impact on the local food chain as possible. The "mermaid fish" is so called by the arrangement of its fins and the pale ghostly glow it gives off. They much prefer the deeper waters of northern and central Alteir, especially in the Seas of Nhorsis and Arcinga.

More experimentation coupled with a continued desire to draw more dragons. I wanted to try out more tricks with graphite powder specifically, which I rather like the results even if it isn't terribly refined and rather messy this time around. Done in my moleskine with graphite powder, a China white pencil and a mechanical pencil.
