Getting art done in these summer months is a little trying; I have a limited window of time in the early morning and early evening to have sufficient light to do anything since we have to close up the house to keep it cool enough (we have no AC). Generally it takes a few days longer than normal because of this, but clearly this has not stopped me. It's Hallowe'en in July!

Burwor the gnome Noctumancer, which is mistermidnight's. Wanted to do another inked piece with dramatic light and shadow, since its been a while, and now that I have a landscape sketchbook expect me to use it for all kinds of reasons. This was relatively quick, all things considered. Done with a black and cool grey 90% markers, Staedtler pigment liners and an orange Tombow pen. 6''x12''.

Another thing, the obvious air flow was a good touch.

It was too static, too boring before I added the signs of a breeze. The extra bit of movement was all it needed. Besides, almost all creepy dark scenes are made better with a chill wind.
