This picture isn't directly related to my story in any way, but I'm uploading it anyway because it makes for a good example of colored work with a limited background for commission purposes. I'm still rather proud of it as well, despite it being a year old.

I did this for my niece, who apparently loves pegasi (pegasuses?) and Mustangs. It was actually her suggestion to make that nice night to day gradient; it came out wonderful despite the fact that I was using chalk pastel and colored pencils on marker paper.

I used one of my Breyer models as a reference for this one. Scan as usual butchered the colors and smooth blending; the dark to light transitions are a lot more subtle in the real thing than it is here. Done in various flesh toned Copic Ciao markers, Prismacolor markers, chalk pastels, gel pen, Derwent Coloursoft pencils, Staedtler pigment liners and some graphite shading here and there.
