Style Foray: Lady Absinthe

Sparkyopteryx

Another one! This time a long-standing literary character of mine, the Faerie femme fatale, the Countess of Crime…. I’ll stop now.

After doing the previous two, by now she was damned easy to stylize. I think I’m sort of getting the hang of this. Sort of. She’s got a generous dash of Disney villain in there somewhere, and I’ve always loved that playing card outfit of hers…

Photo reference used for the kissy face, but everything else I freehanded. Nothing but a double-ended Tombow pen over a pencil sketch.

Are you sure you want to stop? I've got notecards ready for her three-dozen other titles.

Sheesh, you have notecards now? What next, a full dossier of all the people she's extorted and/or killed?

Well, I believe her husband has that one.

And (hopefully still) has the only copy.

Oh gaw, I'm in love with the first one on the upper left. So fantastic!

The pose, clothing style and of course the way you rendered the clothing!

    Please, keep going!
