so I can start drawing again finally. I watched numerous videos of slow motion insect wings in flight and opening/closing to be able to create a design I actually wanted. The wings of this species are not bone, and are extremely hard ligaments, tendons and muscles with cartilaginous bones. This allows the slender wings to easily fold back up into cave hallow's sheaths.

species is fully closed and they are NON-NSFW. they are non-sentient feral monsters living in the caves on Io, the smaller moon of Emain.
