I have a feeling it only depends on which one you got introduced to first (Wars in my case). XD

I never got into Trek until I was ten or so, but it resonates more now.

I like some themes of Trek when I read about them (and Scotty and Chekhov are fun) but not enough to start watching every season and films and so on. But then I haven't re-watched Wars for years as well and ignored all the new films after Hidden Menace.

Most of the movies can be skipped, but TNG is what hooked me. All the tech caught my attention, I'm sure.

What's weird about this particular debate is how completely my opinion has reversed from what it used to be.

I've yet to come across anyone who converted to Star Wars.

I like both, but I love the quantity and themes of Star Trek more.

I feel like the scene is set very well by the lighting, I can just feel myself awkwardly turning my chair away from this drunken argument.

As much as I love Star Wars, I'd go with Trek just because it hasn't been ruined forever with terrible prequels.

At least the reboots are in an alternate timeline.

The Abrams movies and all of the TNG movies didn't have the same impact, though?

The Abrams movies were the ones in an alternate timeline. I guess technically there's like a bajillion alternate timelines all the time in Star Trek because of that one TNG episode.

Also the TNG movies aren't prequels for the most part and don't ruin the things that came before them as much IDK.

I'm a fan of both ... But over all BROWNCOAT! zooms off into the night

That's one of the only flawless space shows, so good taste there.

It does have a flaw, it was on fox, FOX KILLS ALL THE GOOD SHIT

Or the send it to the SciFi channel, who ruins all the good shit.
